Bunny Hop 5k

The Blue Plum Bunny Hop 5K was another way the Blue Plum Organization brought people together in Downtown Johnson City. Held each spring, the race offered runners and families an opportunity to get active, enjoy downtown, and kick off the Easter season with a fun community event. The Bunny Hop featured a timed 5K as well as a Kids Dash, making it an event for runners of all ages and abilities.

Like so many Blue Plum events, the Bunny Hop was about more than the race itself. It brought people into downtown on a spring morning, filled the streets with runners, families, volunteers, and spectators, and created another opportunity to experience Johnson City as a place to gather and celebrate. The event became part of our broader effort to create year-round experiences that brought energy and activity to downtown

The Bunny Hop continued for several years as part of our growing calendar of community events before eventually coming to an end. Like many of the organization’s early events, it reflected our mission of giving people another reason to gather, get active, and experience Downtown Johnson City.
