In addition to the free live music on the Ballad Health Main Stage and Mountain Roots Hemp Amphitheater Stage, this year’s festival features a free Kid’s Zone powered by Summers Taylor, our free Silent Disco, and endless Wellness events in the 2022 Wellness Competition. Look below for more details on each Wellness Event.

The Ferris Wheel returns, giving you an incredible view of downtown, this has a fee, but so worth it! All your favorite festival vendors can be found in the Founders Park Pavilion.

Wellness Friday: FytFeed Challenge – 4 possible activity points

4:00 – 8:00 Amethyst Healing Chair Massage in the Wellness Area – 1 point

10 minute chair massage, free! Tips welcome.

6:00 -8:00 registration & walk/run for Johnson City Brewery’s 5k Friday in the Wellness Area – 1 point

All participants to meet in the Wellness Area at 6:00 for registration.; All the group runners are going to volunteer to help people along the course. Johnson City Brewing will give a beverage to anyone who participates (includes non-alcoholic options). This activity will include a full 5k course, but participants are allowed to head over to JCB wherever they are within 30 minutes of the start time (6:30).

7:00 – 8:00 White Lotus Yang Tai Chi Class in the Wellness Area – 1 point

Yang-Style Tai Chi is the most popular and widely practiced form of Tai Chi in the world. Its movements are large, gentle, slow and evenly-paced. Regular practice of Yang-Style Tai Chi improves general health for the practitioner as the exercise keeps the joints flexible and the bones and muscles strong.  In this class, students will learn and practice foundational steps and techniques of Yang-Style Tai Chi through a step-by-step introduction to the Yang-Style Tai Chi 24 Form

7:00 – 8:00 Rollerdance TriCities Dance Party on the at the Passion Flower Sculpture in King Commons – 1 point

Rollerdance TriCities will be doing roller skating performances and hosting a dance party in King Commons Park in the flower patio area. Go get your groove on! No skates required! Come and dance the night away with the Rollerdance Tricities. It will be recommended that those who want to attend ON skates need to have outdoor/advanced skating experience.

Wellness Saturday: FytFeed Challenge – up to 6 possible points

11:30 – 5:30 Almost 5k Fitness Challenge with Tri-Cities Turtles & Yee-Haw Brewery in Founders Park – 1 point

Complete 6 laps around Founders Park to get a drink token for a free half pint at Yee-Haw Brewery. Check-in with the Tri-Cities Turtles to officially track your laps and receive your beverage ticket.

11:30Local Motion Track Stand Contest in the Wellness Area – 1 point

Anyone who participates in the Track Stand Competition can ride over to Local Motion to meet up for the group ride afterwards! Track Stand Competition is fun – See how long you can balance on a bike without pedaling!

12:00 noonTweetsie gravel grind meeting at Local Motion – 1 point

1:00 – 6:00 Adult Field Day! with Young Professionals of Johnson City

Giant Beer Pong – 1 point

Croquet – 1 point

7:00 – 8:00 Meraki Movement Studio Belly Dance class in the Wellness Area – 1 point

All are welcome for a step by step Belly Dance class! No technique needed, but fun, sweat, and laughter requested!

Wellness Sunday: FytFeed Challenge – 2 possible points

6:00-7:00 Shred Shots at Tannery Knobs sponsored by Trek – 1 point

Ready to upgrade your profile pictures? Forget boring head shots, we’re taking SHRED SHOTS! Join us at Tannery Knobs bike park on Sunday, June 5th from 6:00PM-7:00PM. We’ve partnered with Robert King Photography to capture you looking epic, regardless of your skill level. The event (and pics) is free and of course we’ll be riding the trails during the photo shoot.

Visit the Downtown Johnson City Yoga Festival all day Sunday – 1 point

What to Expect at Blue Plum Festival: 

June Weather  Weather in the mountains can change quickly. Be sure to check the forecast and prepare accordingly (hats, sunscreen, raincoats).  

Family Fun Activities Bring chairs/blankets for lounging on the lawn or enjoying the music by the stage. You will need your athletic clothes for the wellness activities and the FREE Kids Area.

FREE Music, Music, Music – Bring your dancing shoes for year’s lineup! Don’t forget ear protection for younger festival goers, and the lawn is an area with less noise for four-legged friends.  

Vendors – Arts & Crafts, Rides, Food & Beverages – Bring your appetite for food and shopping! Don’t forget cash and/or cards for food, Ferris wheel rides, shopping, beverages, and over 21 armbands.  

On the Move! – Pack light – There is a lot to do with this year’s expanded festival footprint you will need comfy shoes for exploring downtown from Founders Park, through the Market Street parking lot, and into King Commons park.  Carpool and make use of the NE State parking deck just across from the Main Stage!  Remember large bags, coolers, and outside alcohol are not permitted..
